Language
Mandarin Chinese is the official language in China. English is also widely used in hotels, airports, major shopping centers, and international conference venues.
Climate
Chengdu enjoys a mild and humid climate with four distinct seasons, making it an excellent destination for both tourism and business travel. Time Zone

Currency
The official currency of China is the Renminbi (RMB / CNY). Foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks, airports, and some hotels.
Major credit cards are widely accepted in shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants. Mobile payment methods such as Alipay and WeChat Pay are also extremely popular and commonly used throughout Chengdu.
Electricity

Tipping & Tax
Taxes are generally included in the listed prices of goods and services in China.
Tipping is not customary in China; however, some high-end hotels and international restaurants may charge a service fee.
Telephone & Wi-Fi
Most hotels, conference venues, airports, shopping malls, and cafés in Chengdu provide free Wi-Fi access.
In addition, international chains such as Starbucks and McDonald’s, as well as many restaurants and cafés, also offer wireless internet services.
International participants may consider purchasing a local SIM card at the airport or telecom service centers for more stable mobile network access. Major mobile carriers in China include China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom.
